Meet the Staff

Kat Louro, M.A.S., Archivist (January 2018 to March 2022)
Kat was hired in 2018 to revitalize the organization’s library and start an archival program. She manages the organization’s library collection, archival collection, and gives CSTC departments support in records management planning and implementation. She has over 5 years experience in the library and archival field, holding positions at the Union of BC Indian Chiefs Resource Centre, the City of New Westminster Museum and Archives, the Northern BC Archives at UNBC, the Prince Rupert City and Regional Archives, and the Prince George Public Library. She received a joint degree in English and History from UNBC in 2014 and a Masters of Archival Studies (MAS) First Nations Curriculum Concentration in 2018 from the UBC iSchool. Kat is a settler of Portuguese and Irish descent and grew up between Prince Rupert and Prince George.

Jason Martin, M.A.S., Archivist (Term: March 2021-January 2022), former Archives and Records Assistant
Jason holds an Honours B.A. in Art History (2012) and a Masters of Archival Studies (MAS) from the UBC iSchool (2016). He has worked at various archives and libraries including at the University of Northern British Columbia, the University of British Columbia, the Vancouver Art Gallery, the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, and the Newberry Library. He has specialized knowledge and experience in digitization, preservation, copyright and intellectual property, and archival practices.
